Off line marketing idea

Involving your business on the interest places many marketing challenges in front of the business owner. One of the perennial problems is HOW TO GET PEOPLE TO MY SITE.

Now there are hundreds, if not thousands of articles on various online e-zines, sites, and hard copy printed material covering almost every topic imaginable. Having been involved in online business and marketing since almost the beginning, I can tell you there is no magic method. Using a combination of methods will help online, but one of the biggest areas that is ignored in online marketing is the off-line marketing angle.

You heard right - the OFFLINE marketing angle.

Like it or not, most people are still OVERWHELMINLY INFLUENCED by traditional marketing techniques, radio, TV and print. Oh let's not forget the advertizing material we see on trucks and other commercial vehicles - you know the 'BedMart ph 555.......'

Many smaller businesses, especially those with the dominant part of their business online, do not have commercial vehicles on which to place sign written material. This means that every time the business owner is out in traffic, they are missing out on valuable market exposure.

One way around this problem is to have special advertising materials made for your vehicle.

One such way is provided by a site I came across called Promo Plates http://members.ozemail.com.au/~merasa/nameplates/index.html

These plates appear to be a nifty way of placing your URL or email address on your vehicle without it being a crass advertising pitch. In fact the plates themselves look just like they were produced in a auto maker's factory and fitted as part of the original vehicle specs.

If you drive an even more up market vehicle with gold plates, these can be supplied as well.

I had concerns about placing such material on my vehicle on a permanent basis, but found that through the careful use of a hairdryer, I could remove the Promo Plate and using new double-sided adhesive, transfer the plate to my new auto. For just a few extra dollars, a magnetic version of the plate is available, so a business owner can shift it from vehicle to vehicle easily.

These plate are proving increasingly popular and are a unique way of getting the URL and name of your business out in front of hundreds, or even thousands of cars every day, especially in areas where you have other vehicles sitting behind you in traffic.

Of course as the site says, you are not limited to putting just URL's or email addresses on the plates - business names and phone numbers work just as well.
